Klasse App!
Excelente aplicación por ahora me funciona para seguir mi rutina de entrenamiento. Ya que puedo personalizar, llevar un conteo del progreso. Simple sin tanto lío
Läuft via IAP crazy :) super app :)
So I have used another workout app for years (Rep Count) that I love but they don’t have Apple Watch integration and I got tired of taking my phone out of my pocket after every set. I purchase a one year subscription to Gymholic and I’m honestly just wishing Rep Count would integrate with the watch. Gymholic tries to do way too much. There are no useful instructions for using it on the watch properly and their support doesn’t answer email. As such, I’m now using Gymholic and taking it out of my pocket after every set thus defeating my entire reason for subscribing. If you don’t have an Apple Watch, give Rep Count a try. The free version is all most people will ever need and it is absolutely simple to use. These guys have a lot of nerve charging $30 for the year and not bothering to respond to multiple inquiries asking for simple instructions.
I’m able to meticulously map out all of my workouts. I use this with my Apple Watch and I can pace how long I workout and how much I rest. This saves me a lot of time and allows me to focus when I’m weight training. I do wish there was the ability to copy programs to newly created programs or to copy workouts to different programs. Hopefully they will update the app with these features. Other than that, this app is a must if you want to train efficiently.
Man I love this app so much and tell all lifters about it. If you know what you are doing in the gym and want a workout app to track your progress then this is the app to get. It has ultimate flexibility to program any type of workouts and splits you want. It’s easy to update those splits and create alternate versions by duplicating either the workout groups or the workouts themselves. Within the workouts, you can select from hundreds of preloaded exercises with just a couple taps or you can create your own exercises to match the exact equipment you have in your gym. And even upload a pic of it! I could go on and on, but if you’re looking for an app where you can literally program any workout or split that you want whether it’s of your own creation or from your coach or trainer or copying something online and you’re looking for an elegant app to track your progress over time - get this app. When it comes to actually using the app in the gym, it’s so intuitive. It counts down your rest times between sets (which is of course totally programmable) and makes it easy to update the reps you’ve achieved each set. And I love the quick reference of how many reps I got during the last workout. So it’s easy to immediately know if I’m progressing or if I need one or two more reps in order to progress this particular workout. It even has the ability to add your perceived effort for each set. So many features that have been thought through and are convenient. So ditch the paper logbook, and the useless apps that lock you into a certain way of doing things and try this app. Oh - and one final note - the developer is awesome. Keeps updating the app with improved features and is quick to respond to help requests or suggested feature enhancements.
Been using for years! Easy to add exercises and track reps weights and rest. Please bring back hr on exercise history at bottom. Most recent update the Apple Watch exercise, and say “premium exercises“ even though I have the pro version
This was a great workout tracker until the most recent update. I’ll probably still use it to plan and track strength training workouts, it’s pretty good at that, but as a workout tracker with data insights, it now stinks. Not every workout I do is through this app. One used to be able to log other workouts in it, along with kcal, duration, heart rate, etc. into the history of this app to ensure tracking stayed consistent and data was complete. Not anymore. Used to be great, I told a lot of people about it. Now I’m looking for something else that does what it did before the update.
Absolutely grateful for the continued updates. I hope this app never dies because there’s no other that comes close to this in terms of complete package: design, utility and performance!
Gymoholic is an outstanding gym fitness tracker app that combines ease of use with powerful functionality, making it the best fitness tracking app I’ve tried for Apple devices, including the iPhone and Apple Watch. After experimenting with four different fitness apps, Gymoholic stands out as the most user-friendly and effective for tracking workouts and progress. I love it so much that I willingly subscribed, which is a testament to its value. The app’s user experience is excellent, with the UX designers delivering an intuitive and aesthetically pleasing interface. From creating custom workouts to tracking sets, reps, and progress, everything feels seamless and well-thought-out. Features I Love One of the standout features is the audio-guided functionality, which allows me to stay focused without constantly checking my Apple Watch. The audio cues are a game-changer, signaling when rest periods are over and when to transition to the next set or exercise. This feature significantly enhances the overall gym experience and keeps my workouts efficient. Areas for Improvement While Gymoholic is nearly perfect, I have two suggestions for improvement: 1.Audio Guidance Output The audio guidance currently plays through the Apple Watch speakers instead of my connected Bluetooth headphones or other devices. This can be inconvenient, especially in a busy gym environment where I want to keep audio cues discreet. Fixing this issue so that the audio plays through the connected device would greatly enhance this feature. 2.Customizable Auto Hypertrophy Feature The auto hypertrophy feature is fantastic for progressively increasing workout intensity, but it lacks flexibility. At the moment, the weight increment settings apply to every workout indiscriminately. I wish I could customize the frequency of weight increases for specific body parts or exercises. For instance, my current hypertrophy plan involves increasing lower body weights every two weeks and upper body weights every four weeks. Allowing users to adjust the duration for weight progression would make this feature more tailored to individual training programs. Final Thoughts Despite these minor critiques, Gymoholic is an exceptional app that has greatly improved my fitness journey. Its combination of simplicity, functionality, and an excellent user experience makes it well worth the subscription. With a few refinements, it could become even better and cater to more personalized fitness needs. Highly recommend it for anyone serious about tracking their workouts and progress!
Downloaded many alternatives, nothing even compares
I used to love using this with my Apple Watch. The syncing was quick and simple. Now it’s close to impossible to get workouts to sync. It’s been glitching like this for a few years now. I keep hoping that they fix it with the next update but nothing yet. Judging by other reviews, I’m far from the only one with this issue.
There is nothing more frustrating than finding an app you love and then the developers come along and change everything. This was a really nice easy to use app until the last iteration. Now it doesn’t work like it used to, it is not simple and I am forced to yet again find another workout app That will work the way I want it to and the developers will leave it alone. Update: after the new update was done it no longer sinks to the iCloud either. I wish they would’ve just left this app alone.
The new update makes it hard to do on the fly edits to your rest times and exercise order. It now shows a detail of the exercise on the first press which after having such a good app that allowed you to record your exercise first it went to a beginner like app where it keeps the exercises to the order set up beforehand. It might be a good app for people who have time to plan their trips to the gyms or have the same set up everyday because of equipment access. But this app used to be my go to and the only thing I wanted was a floating stop/go for the exercises so when you’re changing up your routine you can pause whenever instead of scrolling all the way to the top. This was a good app for my lifestyle
With the update that took out the ability to quickly change the timer between sets. AWFUL!
I have been using it from day 1, this is the best app by far, I have use many other but alway going back to using this one. Please continue the development and updating the app.
I recommend this app to everyone I can. I’ve tried them all and nothing comes close to Gymaholic. So well thought out, excellent UX/UI, tracking, training insights etc. I don’t know what’s on your development roadmap, but as Wish Lists go, I’d love to be able to set times/tracking for post-training sauna. Nevertheless, this is an app I really enjoy using!
Tried the subscription. Make it 1 time pay and I’ll use again. $40 PER YEAR IS A RIP OFF. Try the OTHER APPS FOR A 1 Time pay instead
Honestly, this is quite the amazing app for fitness tracking. I love using this app for tracking my workouts at the gym. I love how it shows the heart rate data from your Apple Watch from during your workout. As well as the timing of each machine or exercise from the selected workout in aligned with the heart rate data. So this is a big thank you to the developers for creating such a wonderful feature rich app. The only request I could ask for is added functionality to the app so I can use the app with my Polar H10 chest strap. This chest strap is a highly accurate heart rate variability sensor, and I would love nothing more than to be able to pair it with this app. Please hear my request developers! Id appreciate this greatly. I no longer own an Apple Watch so I don’t get the HR data included in the recorded workouts in the app anymore and there doesn’t appear to be an option to pair the app with other devices.
I’ve used this app for at least 6 years and it’s fantastic. Recently it’s had a decline though. I started having to pay for their premium service that I had been using for many years for free. And now the Apple watch app has started glitching and crashing every time I finish a set. Sad to see
I used to love the app, but the syncing no longer works to the Apple Watch. Right now, the watch will not sync and there are no instructions on the developers site. Hoping they will respond. I have followed the in app instructions…but I think they are old and don’t apply to new IOS. This was a really good feature before it failed. They have not kept this app up to date. It’s too bad as the iPhone and iPad app has great workouts and really nice to record workouts. Needs to sync with WATCH!!!!!
Easy to use and interface is user friendly.
Love this app, but app support disappeared along with any new exercises. Seems to be another application with the same name by another person trying to take business away. Might work if no one starts supporting this app and improves it.
Update: my bad. Developer responded that I can restore to the previous pro edition. This resolved my issue. The app itself is great and syncs with iwatch as well
Have had this app for years 7 years have spent plenty of money on upgrades today I get on and everything is locked wants me to buy premium. Have told probably 20 friends to get this app. Trash nickel and dime company. On to the next one. Shame on this company
I have been using this app for a couple months. What a difference it has made. Before I would just work out without a plan. Didn’t notice much change. Now with only two months. Huge change. Can’t wait to see the results after 6 months.
Strava integration stopped working after iOS 18 update
I like it. Workouts are automatically recorded. However, I wish it had more workout moves to choose from. If they did I would give it a fiver
I’ve been using this app for many years now. This may be a minor thing to some but the fact that I can’t re-arrange my sets in an exercise is a big miss. I am constantly at the gym, putting in numbers, copying sets, because I can’t just drag a set and move it to a different position. Basic functionality that simply MUST be added. Also, don’t get me started on the fact that every month I have to click on “restore purchase” because for some reason the app forgets that I’m a paying member. The fact that most of the negative reviews are about that bug yet it STILL hasn’t been fixed is ridiculous and tells you how much the developer actually cares. Images that I had taken of exercises before - all gone. Sometimes entire logs go missing. Just like that. Gone. Took me years to figure out the timer thing. I even had to email the developer. Even then, still couldn’t get it to properly work. The timer would randomly go off in the middle of me doing a set and I would have to stop working out to stop it. Insane!! The fact that I can’t re-arrange notes…. And that notes are limited to just under 30 characters… I mean what is that? 2004??? Are you kidding me??? I can keep going but won’t waste my time with this. Fix your app!
I have been using this app for quite a while. It is loaded with features and exercises for stretching and lifting weights. Very easy to use plus I really like the animated exercises that helps me with my pace. I also like how it counts my reps for me…great app!
I reported some bugs to the dev years ago and they acknowledged it. Time goes by, new releases get all the new marketable features, but minor yet super annoying issues are still here. If you travel between the US and the rest of the world, your weights will not get actually converted when you switch the units back and forth: the numbers stay the same, only the units name change. This used to work fine before, but stopped at some point years ago. I am now permanently in Europe and have to calculate all my weighs from kgs each session to input them in lbs the app. There used to be an export function which allowed to download the data, which I could use to recalculate myself and reimport the weighs, but that is gone now with iCloud sync, which is a significant regression on its own. The other bug is with Apple Watch: if you have a Quick Menu configured to show next set and edit previous, it will NOT let you edit previous set if it was the last one in workout. You have to finish the workout and edit that last set by hand. I progress with each workout (Hepburn Method), so I have to do it each time. These aren’t big deals to be fixed, but somehow after 4 years or so they’re still here. I even inquired about them again just a month or two ago and got no response whatsoever.
Incredible amount of work went into designing this app for providing a helpful tool to maintain an organized workout plan. Unfortunately, the synchronization process seems to not include the Exercise Groups. Customer support told me they would fix it months ago and it's still not working. Bums me out I can't use the app for what I'm paying for.
I like the app but I have to restore the purchase every month even though I have auto update on. That got annoying.
I absolutely love this app! It’s great at helping me keep track of sets and rest times. My only complaint is that I wish it were easier to mute the Apple Watch announcements as I am usually wearing headphones.
Great workout tracking platform works well with Apple Vision Pro 👍🏽
I’ve been using this app for more than 10 years - even paid for the extra exercises - and now, without any significant changes to the same old app, they start demanding a subscription. Way to go - do nothing different, but make that big MONEY GRAB. I will definitely dissuade anyone I know from using this app.
Extensive collection. Works perfectly
This has been a wonderful app that includes sync with all devices including apple watch. I’ve been able to create my own exercises using an exhaustive library, track progress and personal records. However, with recent iOS updates I lost the ability to connect the app on the watch to the cloud to access my information. Resync does not work on the watch and reinstall does not fix it either. All other devices are in sync through the cloud. I hope the developers can patch soon so I do not have to use the phone app while working out.
I love this app. I was able to easily create plans for body-for-life, which is exactly what I was looking for. It has animations of each exercise for beginners and now also shows body parts worked after an plan is completed. It has many built in plans in case you don’t want to create your own. You can also export plans to share!
I have been using this app for 3 years but unfortunately since the update I am longer able to add workouts to my watch or the app isn’t updating my workouts at all. I hope they go back to manually adding workouts to your watch because if not I will have to switch to another app.
I’ve used this app since 2018 and was completely enthralled by how user friendly it was and how easy it was to track your workouts. I absolutely loved the feature where they created a workout for you based off of your regenerated muscles and created an hour long workout session that was unique and different than the last workout. Unfortunately I have stopped using it (still paying for it cause I’m hoping it will magically go back to its former glory) because when I ask the app to generate workouts it always gives one actual workout and then the rest are 15 min stretches or cardio or rope workouts that I don’t want. I wanted it to give the hour workout with actual exercises and it doesn’t do that anymore. I’m not sure if it’s a setting I somehow chose or what but it’s very disappointing not being able to have workouts generated that are more than three 15 min stretches or rope workouts for an intended 45 min lift. Very sad about the change and wish I could have the old version back.
I’ve used this app for 2 years now, and have absolutely loved it. Happily paid for the premium membership. In my opinion, there isn’t a better app out there that allows you to run your workouts from your watch. Unfortunately , since the recent Apple Watch update, it’s become unusable. The workouts are almost impossible to update and sync to your watch. It took me over 2 hours to get todays workout to finally sync to my watch. If you’re using your phone anyways, the app may still be good for you. But if, like me, you want to run your workouts off your watch, I’d recommend looking elsewhere
I love this app and I have used many other fitness apps, but for me this app is all I need !
After the latest update adding iCloud synchronization, it automatically added a dozen workouts to the app that I never had on there before. It also put my custom grouped workouts out of order compared to how they show up in the phone app (legs, pull, push on watch vs. push, pull, legs on phone). Doesn’t matter what order I select them using the new watch icon in the phone app. Workouts still work fine and sync, the app isn’t broken, but it’s really dang annoying! Things matched up fine before this update, and now don’t quite match between phone and watch.
I only use it to plan my own workouts but it works great for planing and working out with my Apple Watch. It wish it had more built in exercises but it is easy to add your own.
Latest update removed calorie tracker. Please bring it back.
Lost calories burned during workout on latest iOS update. Please fix asap.
Please sync with Apple health directly! Otherwise I love it!
There’s a small selection of workout routines, and they’re slightly complicated to select. It also provides no indication whether you’re doing a compound set or what your rest times are before actually doing the workout. Makes it difficult to plan out if you’re at a public gym.
Overall it’s a great app to keep track of progress. However sometimes my workouts don’t sync back to the phone and do not show on my history so o have to add them manually which it’s annoying. Also I notice when adding a workout in the watch it doesn’t not sync back to the iPhone nether can I find that workout in the iPhone app. Other than that I like all the features the watch and iPhone has to offer.
Been using this app for years. It has improved over time. I’ve looked at dozens of other apps, but none compare to the features, flexibility with creating custom workouts, and strong coordination with the Apple Watch. I recommend this to all my friends that hit the gym regularly.
It’s incredibly easy to sign up and start giving the money every month. There is no functionality in the app to stop giving them money every month. So far email to the company from the website and a comment in the gift feedback section is all I’ve been able to do to stop charges.
